Have 3 gear transmission

I've got a question. In my CJ5 I have a straight 6 and manual 3 gear Transmission . How difficult or cwhat would be ost to change tranny out into something different. Would like to stay manual though. Any advise/suggestions? Thank you

T-176 , T177, T-18 , AX15, NV3500 and NC4500 are the ones I can think of off the top of my head that people swap to. I currently have a T-5 that I will be swapping to a T176.

Depends on what you want to do and what the plans.

I've gotta say, what's wrong with a three speed Transmission ? If your transmission is stock you have a T-14 , not as strong as the T-15 that went into the V8's or the T-150 .....All 3 speed transmissions. Even the mighty T-18 is in truth is a 3 speed with a compound first.

Swapping out a transmission isn't actually as easy as you might think. And I suppose it isn't as difficult as it could be. No matter what it's more expensive than you will anticipate.
