Engine Is this the correct 2100?

I have a 2100 on my jeep. It’s visually missing parts, including the id tag, I think it’s probably best to just replace it rather than rebuild it. Since it’s not always easy to find them in the junkyard anymore, new might be the answer.

Is this the right carb? It’s a direct replacement for the AMC 304s.

Only issue is most of these are made in China and aren't really that great. I've installed a few and they really only lasted about a year or so. On top of that yours should be a 1.08 venturi but the aftermarket units don't measure up correctly

Key words, "2100 -style". It's a knock off.
I would attempt a rebuild. What parts are you missing?

Sigh. I have some leakage around the throttle shafts too. I’m not exactly sure how to stop that.

They sell replacement shaft plastic or bronze bushings and just about everything else. Remember, this was the standard 2bbl ford carb also.

Or you can step up and put EFI on it. There are some great options from Holley and ACES

I’m sure the EFI makes the AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l run like a dream! I’m hoping to stay with a carb for now though.
