jumping out of 2h??

So i pulled the tranny and replaced a couple leaky seals in the Transfer Case and put it back in the jeep and now it pops out of 2h and i hear some grinding?? any suggestions on why??

OK so what did you take apart, the tranny or Transfer Case ?

Popping out of gear (1,2,3 or reverse is tranny related.

Popping out of 2h, 4h etc is Transfer Case related.

I pulled apart the Transfer Case . It's popping out of 2wheel high when I give it gas. I found a u bolt broke on the rear axle and realized bad axle wrap also when I get on the gas. Would the axle twisting bad have anything to do with it jumpin out of 2h

Ok I feel like a dumby. It was bone dry so I added gear oil and it hasn't happened again. I'm still hearing a little gear notice though and the actual 4wheel drive stick has a lot of play in it. Is there a site that gives step by step instructions on how to tighten or replace the linkage??
