I have a gear reducer and MassTech tachometer shown here in the picture. I was trying to figure out why my speedometer isn't working and found that the pin that runs through the tachometer (yellow part) is broken. I tried locating a replacement but w/no success. Anyone have any information where to find one of these or a replacement. The jeep is new to me. I know it has a 350 in it w/a automatic Transmission . 1981 Jeep CJ7

welcome aboard from Texas, I also cant find anything on your tach adapter

Looks to be a MASSTECH TACHOMETER DRIVE UNIT TRANSDUCER PULSE DYNAMICS. I just cannot find a replacement. if worse comes to worse I'll just remove the tachometer

I may be wrong, but it looks like this device is converting a mechanical speedometer drive to electronic. Or maybe the other way around?...What speedometer are you running?

Is the motor fuel injected? Could be the speed /tac signal for the computer if EFI. If not and is just a tac signal, get a new tac and use the coil as reference.

Wow dude that’s pretty cool

I've been looking for an adapter to convert a pulse signal to mechanical for my contraption for a while now. The last one down would fit the bill nicely but for $315 I'll keep on guessing my speed.
