With a 360 I don't think you need to go that low 4.10s would work better IMO

4:88's for playing in the rocks, RPM's would be pretty high for the road though. The 4:56s should be a good trade off.
You going with a locker while you have it apart?

Do I want a locker for snow street driving? I know for off road, but like the gear driveability will lockers make it not road friendly. How do I know what I have now? I have the rear diff cover off. What came out looked like chocolate milk!

I know the opinions are that lockers are bad on slick roads....however, when I installed a rear locker in my CJ it actually handled better on snow and ice...no more fishtailing and better forward traction. I tested this several times after install....i could not get the rear end squirly on a slick snowpacked road even stomping on the gas. A front locker is detrimental to winter driving however.

Locking hubs are just that.....they engage the wheel to the axle shaft in simple terms. A locker will engage both axle shafts together, again in simple terms.

IMHO a rear locker would be great for off road, BUT it might be kinda squirrely on the snowy hills you have on your side of town.

I think I'd drive that long wheelbase JK you have in the snow.

The top has never been off in 4 years on my CJ7 and 4 years of playing in the snow This is why I own Jeeps. If I wanted something I was only going to drive when its nice I would stiil have a hotrod.
