whats the correct wiring for this

If it starts and runs correctly and your concern is that it looks like poop then it's wired correctly. To be "correct" it should only have the blue and red wires that are molded together, on the left big terminal should be a cable going tothe starter and the right side should have 1 cable goin to the battery.

It's a blurry pic but looks like po's have used the battery hot terminal to wire up a few extra things. IMO it won't really mess any thing up with the system. Your options for cleaning it up would be to move the extra cables to the hot battery post or get a bus bar to wire your hots with. They sell replacement battery cables with 1,2 or 3 extra leads for stuff like that or you can grab the terminals that have a big bolt on top that you can add the wires to.

If you can get a better pic and post where each wire goes we could probably give you a better idea of how to change it.

There are several places /splices in your stock harness that look like that. Is it a soldered connection?? the factory soldered it and wrapped it in duct tape. My advice is to clean it and re wrap it and put it back in the convoluted tube.
