Mystery bushing?????

OK i have this manual it shows a bushing between the adjuster and throw out lever? anybody else have this bushing i cant find it anywhere! is it real or a typo? this thing is kinda turning into "my precious"..........

I believe thats a wear surface. My fork has the part your pointing to, but it's welded intot he arm for the linkage bal to push on.

This is totally out of my realm so take it that way.What I have used on the
Dauntless Buick 225 V6 /GM style linkage is a rocker arm ball(half ball actually) off a sbc that has a 3/8" hole and is hardened.Makes a great pivot for throw out arm adjuster.Like I said may not work on a AMC,just thought I would throw it out there. mike

its metal then? my throw lever shows no sign of a weld could of been worn clean it but i sanded both points of contact and hi-temp disc grease and really made a Huge difference i grease the clutch petal bearing the best i could the pedal removal seems like a big can of worms. thought maybe i could get even smoother shifting with the "wear surface" is that different from a bushing?

I dont ever recall seeing that, as an individual part, but its has been several years since Ive pulled a stick out of CJ.

The part number is 313-0998, same "seal" was used from 1974 and up on everything. Likely the number has been superceded.

The name of the part is " Seal, clutch wear adjuster, to throw out lever".

Oh, Dan, side note, if youre using a camera (not a phone), they usually have a "macro" setting or button you push for taking up real close pictures. Basically, if you too close for the camera to focus, you hit the macro button, and then they usually will focus.

I know that part, all it does is hold grease between the adjuster and the throwout lever. It is sort of a spongy type material. You could probably make one.
