Old man emu YJ spring conversion

I think so.
I recently removed a similar T-5 and that bolt sure looks centered with the shaft.

Thanks that's what I'm going to go with. Hopefully Thursday I can correct the issue and go for a better test drive

Not perfect but a lot better. I moved it a good 1/2" (gotta love a custom made skid plate made to fit the motor position that got changed. I'll check a few things tomorrow after work and go for another test drive. I'll post the results.

So I've been test driving and trying to figure out some noise. I'm pretty sure it was throw out bearing (readjusted my clutch linkage and it mostly went away) I'm taking the doors off today and doing some more driving

Little test drive in the mountains. Kids loved it

Once I get everything dialed I'll compile a list and price for everything. That way others can decide on what they need and what it will cost
I'm sure most won't need everything I needed

That would a great gesture. :chug:

Installed a new steering damper (mine was trash) I could have gotten a factory replacement but I wanted to move it up a bit. It goes in Tuesday for an alignment and wheel balancing

Sorry it's been a while since I've updated this.

So I've gotten an alignment, balanced my wheels, installed 4⁰ axle shims (thick part facing towards the Transmission ) correcting my drive shaft angle to 2.8⁰.

I still have a vibration between 15-35ish MPH and again around 55-62ish. I'm going to get the rear shaft rebalanced and see where I stand. Barring that any other ideas for what could be causing my vibration??

Those are usually frustrating. Tires and wheels are balanced ?

Something sounds really wrong, if you’re getting vibrations at 15mph.

-Angles at Transfer Case and at axle are close to equal?
-I’ve done it before: tightening down the u-bolt on the bearing cap when it wasn’t fully seated into the yoke. Check this?
-Slip joint ok?
-Drive shaft yokes out of phase? This can happen via mis-assembly or by rewelding slightly off phase.
-Driveshaft out of balance or straightness?

Sucks you’re experiencing this, but you’ll figure it out.

I'm dropping off the rear shaft today. I'm going to test drive it using just the front shaft and see if it's still there. That will tell me if it's a drive shaft issue for sure or not

Ooof! Me thinks your spindle nuts have flown the coup. The hub walking around too, like the rotor?

Or, is there just an issue with the wheel studs where they press through the hub flange?

I reseated the bearings and retorqued the nuts. Seems to be ok. Storm rolled through last night so no test drive. It's on my list as soon as I get home today.

Got my off road wheels and tires on.
