TCase Orangey Transfer Case E-Brake?

Hi everybody, our new-to-us 1970 CJ Orangey has no emergency brake components from the inside handle bracket all the way to wherever. I respectfully request some feedback on the photo: Is this case set up for the emergency brake drum setup, or would the e-brake be inside the rear drum brakes?

We've had it for about a month, so I haven't done too much with it except identifying what I have (our first Jeep). Thanks for any help you folks provide, have a good day!

Pre-1972 CJs had the driveline parking brake setup. I believe the 1970 should have that using the Dana 18 Transfer Case that has the parking brake feature. Not all T-18 's had that however. It doesn't look like yours does.

I looked at the rear drums, no provision for parking brake cables......dang, did the factory sell these farm implements (lol) without parking brakes?

It's possible someone took the Transfer Case mounted brake off since there is evidence....The small stud hanging down is where the lever would have been mounted. They often get covered in oil and don't work or the stud has broken off, as is the case in two of mine. I'm planning to fix mine when I rebuild my TC this winter.
