Got 3.31 gearing and 33s. Need to get my speedometer more accurate. In my searches, all of the calculator links are broken or the provided charts don't show for the gearing I have.

Did some interpolation calcs based off the charts which gives me a 28.5 tooth gear. Don't mind rounding up to be on the safe side so thinking I need a 29 tooth? Anyone with a similar ratio and know what tooth gear would get me close?

Found them on Quadratec but they're $40! Dealerships still carry these things?

I haven't see an AMC dealership in years;). I don't think Chrysler carries parts for anything older than 1987 when they bought out Jeep.

I called a Chrysler dealership and they said the part was discontinued 2-years ago but did carry it at that time.

There are quite a few speedo charts on the web to calculate what size gear you need. I would suggest going to the next smaller size tire for your calculations though. You might also try looking up for a speedo repair shop in your area also as they just might have the gear you want.

Here you go - 888-811-1008 - they make these and can make little gearboxes to for your exact application.

Thanks guys for all of the information but I've decided not to do it.

With help from Novak I figured out the gear count I needed, 26.5 (round up or down), and was going to purchase the $40 version from Quadratec but found out that the VSS connected to it for my FI wouldn't affect the timing like I'd hoped from a friend of mine who programs PCMs so I've decided to drop it. I don't mind my speedometer being off since I use a GPS for speed anyways.

My response yesterday was just to let GatorBate and others know that they did have it at the dealership not too long ago but it's no longer available. A lot of threads I read on it said to just get it cheap there.
