I'm so confused now how does the replacement part fit on does it go over the old like a sleave or does it weld directly to it. I don't want to get it wrong.
 
Getting it straight and level would probably be my biggest challenge.

I have been checking in on your posts and progress. Watching these frame repairs.

My son has a Wrangler and they are KNOWN from almost leaving the factory with rusted through frames. Gathering knowledge here.
 
It's good to see someone bringing another CJ back to life. Will you be trying to make it a mostly stock/original style parts or will you be making some enhancements or modifications?

There is a tube on the front Diff. So what do I do with them? right now they are just floating in air. Do I attach them to the body when I put it on?

It's a vent. You can leave them alone or if if you go into deep water, extend the tube above where you forge.

Going to try and keep it as stock as I can, repair if it can be and replace if needed. I grew up loving the look of a CJ and have always wanted one.
