Build Thread Starting from the frame 1977 CJ5

I used a Weber with factory mechanical pumps for probably 25 years with very few problems.

Probably 7-9 psi.
I thought we covered this earlier.
Use a low pressure electric pump (7-9 psi) close to the Fuel Tank mounted in the Frame. It's easier to push than to suck.
Remove the Mechanical Pump and use a cover plate where it was.
And as mentioned, get a fuel pressure regulator to get it down to 2-3 psi
As a note, I mounted my Fuel Pressure Gauge on a 90° fitting in that Second Down Angle port on the Carb opposite of your fuel supply line. Easy to see, and adjust while running.
Or on a Redline style regulator, you can use the Center Port for the Fuel Pressure Gauge right on the unit.
Later today I will try to get pictures of both that I have on different vehicles.

I remember you saying that earlier Soup, I would like to avoid putting on an electrical fuel pump. I appreciate the suggestion, but would like to keep the build as simple as possible. I didn't have very good luck with it on my Porsche, could never get the flow rate right. I was looking closer at the numbers on my carburetor DGAV33M 32/36, from what I read this is supposed to be a aquatic choke. It appears mine have been rebuilt at some point with an electronic choke which is evident in the pictures I posted earlier. The throttle cable bracket I ordered won't work even though it was said to be universal. Packaging said for weber 4 barrel not 2 barrel.

I’m beginning to think this thing is completely jerry rigged nothing is looking like anything I find in my research. Any suggestions?

I couldn’t get the electric choke to work correctly on mine. So I hooked up a universal manual choke and was very happy how it worked. That one looks very similar to the one I had on my 4 banger.

You can put a Fuel Pressure Regulator on a Mechanical Pump.

Looks good.
And that does look like the correct Throttle Cable Bracket.
The white plastic 90° elbow on the air filter is to be connected to the Valve Cover Tube.

My tub from Willy’s Overland has been delayed in shipping. Still on the boat.

Sitting here looking at the wiring harness and noticed that some connections seem to be broken. Namely the light sockets on the speedometer. The metal fittings on some seem to be broken. Do they sell just replacement sockets?

There are Two Rubber Grommets on the Rocker Cover. The Front one goes to the Air Cleaner Fitting. The Rear is for the PCV valve and is then connected to the Intake Manifold.

I finally found a good set of fenders. What a relief, was beginning to think they were un-obtanium. 2 steel fenders in great condition and best of all they were local.

Just heard from Willy's Overland tub is in the shop and will be done there next week and ready for pick up.
