Transmission swap help ! T150 - T4 not matching up

Hi guys,
I picked up a 1977 CJ7 (I6-AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l Engine, T-150 , Dana 20 ), unfortunately 1st gear was totally gone (seem that the gear ring is just totally shot)
So I went around looking for a replacement tranny, and I came across what seems to be a T-4 with Dana 300 Transfer Case and matching driveshafts.
I dropped the T150 today, just to find out that the bell housings are not compatible and even the input shaft on the T4 is different than the T150.
My OEM bell housing hole pattern does not fit the T4.. and the bell housing that was in the T4 does not matches my 258 engine block.. totally different.
SO ! I need help...
1. Is what I think the T4, really a T4? It has stamped 13-51-027-901
(according to Novak website, it should be a T4, unless I'm missing something)
2. Shouldn't the T4 be a direct replacement to the T150?
Any input appreciated !
