Just to give you another idea on price, I paid $100 for the rear with 4:10 gears that I reused..
I had $200 in getting the housing cut and the long side axle cut and resplined and the spring pad welded back on.
And than another $1000 in all new parts, wheel bearings, calipers and pads, rebuild kit for the diff, ball joints, u-joints, warn locking hubs, chevy spindles, Ford hubs and rotors, and 1.5" tie rod with hiems.
On top of that is another 1500 in moser axles and an Eaton Elocker.
I already had flat top knuckle, high steer arm,(wanted cross steer) and I reused my old 1.25" draglink (I need to make a longer one though) so they are not included in the prices.

:eek: Holy :dung: maybe I shouldn't add up what Ive already spent then

NEVER be so foolish as to add up what your spending on a hobby like keep ing your a Jeep going. It's frightening to see what I've spent on just cut off wheels and welding wire let alone the expensive stuff.

Kinda wish I hadn't, I spent about a year collecting parts so it was a shock to me to. :D But hey it's still a lot cheaper than buying a new one.

Well I guess that is why Jeep stands for, Just Empty Every Pocket!

On a lighter note I Picked up a (I believe) a Waggy Dana 44 front today. Kind of crazy. I was having a local guy build me a custom full roll cage and was just walking the lot looking around. Stumbled across one. $100 bucks and I took it home. Can someone tell me how to identify the year?

Just to be clear here there are 2 sets of numbers, the date in was made and than the BOM #. The BOM # is the one you want to enter in the above link.
