V8 Exhaust

My 85 has headman headers that were installed by the PO. At this point its just headers no down pipe. For my application I do not want a loud exhaust nor do I want duals. I want a nice quiet stockish sound with a single exhaust pipe (so I can Fuel injection o2 sensor).

Im not sure the headmans are a good choice. To me it looks like they take up too much space and go too far back under the body to be good for a crossover. Does anyone have pics of headman headers that are 8 to 1 single exhaust pipe? I may be on the look out for stock headers since the seem much shorter.

I would take it to a exhaust shop and discuss with them y piping it. That will give you the one pipe you are looking for. If they are full length headers then you may need either stock maifolds or shorty headers so it can cross over closer to the front to keep you O2 sensor wire short
