What did you do to or with your CJ today?

What did you do to or with your CJ today?
I'm doing a 5 hour one way trip to TX to get a bunch of waggy parts, including a 360 for the CJ7 ...Sure wish it was a 401!:censored:
Not much difference between the 401 and the 360... Just some forgings and a few CID's!!!

Where in Texas are you headed? If your coming to San antonio you I have a T-18 to go with your 360.

I pulled the dash off to tinker with wiring and clean out the dirt dobber nests.

Mine runs like a champ, so I just drove it. :notworthy:

Finished installing the new Bling mufflers and custom pipe today...sounds real nice and runs better too!

PM'ed ya!

CJ the upgrade would have been a little easier if it were not for the fact that the entire wiring harness had been removed by the PO and I had to figure out the wiring rats nest. But with what I have done so far after the first start I can shut it off and from there it is a tap key start. I do think the carb needs rebuilding due to an excessive vacuum sound when working the throttle, But like I said been a while since iv'e been under a CJ hood and maybe thats what it's supposed to do!. Now to finish the interior so I can test the bad boy out OH YEA!!!

Almost got both axles out of the CJ7 today...First JEEP project in the new 'shop'! WooHoo! Considering that the walls are close to done but not quite, there is no front on it at all, and nothing but an extension cord for power, I think its GREAT! Much better than what was there 2 weeks ago ( a small leaking shed )

and a overall view of the front..

LittleCJ nothing wrong with that we are still rebuilding from a fire that burnt our house to the ground two years ago and our garage still doesn't have a door yet, But like yours better than a shed or the open ground. Have fun with your build and keep your patience about you :D
Oh and picked up my racing seats and pulled the hood for some prep work (painting).

Thanks! I am happy to have this now, it will make the work go a lot easier!
Anyways, I spent the day driving down south to pick up an AMC V-8 (does that sound familiar to anyone else on here today?)

Got a 2bbl 360 out of a rolled '88 waggy for the CJ project currently holding down the shed floor :) Also grabbed another Dana 30 front (drum brake :()for parts, and scored a pair of York compressors with mounts (one's on the 360 already) for OBA setups on both rigs! He threw in a few other parts, like a tilt column, and booster-MC off the waggy for less than $250! I really outta stop spending $$ on parts and get to work on this thing...

Busy day today, First had to make momma happy so I installed her new stereo in her TJ (It rocks). then finished sanding all floor panels, sealed around where needed, then put down the fiberglass matting w/resin which is setting. and then took the old Transmission /TC cover and both shifter boot brackets ground and sanded down to bare metal, primed, and painted with black hammered paint. Oh and don't forget my new seats that had to be cleaned and painted. worked on figuring out the vacuum hoses on the beast, distributor advance vacuum is working great just gotta figure out the brake boost.

Well my bride actually got out there and started cleaning the frame off her CJ7 . Got the Eastwood.com Chassis restoration kit ordered, so we may have a prepped chassis by then.
Other than that I spent the day cleaning the new shop and organizing. Pulled my CJ5 into the shop so I can see if the extra A/C brackets I got with her engine will actually fit my engine. Then I will need to find the pulleys I've been looking for, for 2 years to make it work...

Had a great time! I have better muddy pictures on my phone, have to find my cable to get them off!! Looks like the timing chain and that dist. drive gear fixed my problems.

Tell you what, lower the pressure in the tires to 13psi and grab 4 low and hold on!

Took the wife for a ride, she's been looking at a Rubicon, So I may have a new used jeep in the family soon.
