What did you do to or with your CJ today?
Drove around one last time before my CJ7 goes in for a 350 and 700R4 swap! I still need to find axels though....I'll post pics of the project.:D

Stared at it for 15 minutes :eek: then put wanted ad in for a spare AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l so I can start my 4.0 head and EFI conversion.:D Tonight I'll finish the brake job I started 2 weeks ago. I'm Converting to power brakes at the same time.

~~~Got the Eastwood.com Chassis restoration kit ordered, so we may have a prepped chassis by then.
~~~
Just curious if the paint ever came in and if you have used it? I'd like to hear from another what they think. :)

Just got it on Friday..haven't had time to mess around with it yet. Been working on the 2 boats I bought a while ago, since I finally got paperwork on them! Its finally gotten hot enough to take them out on the water, so thats been my focus this weekend.
Sure looks like good stuff tho!

Man, sounds great! It was perfect weather here for boating today! UV index of 10 and 90 degrees... Now all I need is a boat! :laugh:

It should, but I'm still on monetary restrictions from the CFO here until I start traveling for work again (next month). Too much $$ spent on the boat and her CJ...

I wheeled mine on the rocks above Shaver Lake just East of Fresno, Ca. We had a great time, the weather started out fine, turned to hail, short rain storm, then great again. Overall a very fun trip for all.

I put on new hood latches as one was rounded out and fell on the road, so two new ones are holding my hood in place now. going to get rust converter for frame and under body today. and fix toilet also.

you've got a toilet in your JEEP!?! :eek: that must be the really super duper loaded version! Bet its great for camping! :chug:

:laugh:

Well I just had toilet parts in it, and I drove my jeep to get the parts to fix the toilet, and that means the weather was good, and the jeep was running. She(my jeep) is perfect foe camping, it is just like going in a tent other than the tent will keep out the rain, as my jeep has none of the following: doors, radio, heater roof(other than a bikini top). It does have a cigarette lighter though:D

:chug: you are sticking with it :booze:

Took it out to pick up the new member of the family.
Got my wife a 2006 Jeep Rubicon Unlimited.

I ripped out the rear axle, tore it down and changed the gears to a set of 4.88's. (was 4.27) Then drilled a new hole in the spring pad to off-set the axle back an inch.

Tonight I need to put the axle shafts in and put the disk brakes back on the axle. If I can find a big enough drill bit, I also need to drill a hole in the spring plates. and pull out the bent and broken shock on the drivers side.

Laid under it trying to figure out some fix for my diff. cover-gas tank issue. Couldn't think of anything so started looking around and found a bad u-joint in the front driveshaft, now I have something to do tomorrow.
Wonder what that will lead to.

I stripped most of the white paint the PO had on the chrome rims, I sanded the goofy logo off the back panel as well as painting my tail lights, they were painted black on the inside so I painted them gloss white and cleaned the inside of the lenses, and they are allot brighter. I am still trying to figure out what color to paint the old girl. I am thinking about safety yellow because I can get the paint for CHEAP, and right now that is what the budget calls for. I also painted two of my rotors red. I think when I am done she will be several different colors. I am planning to but a powder coating gun to all the small parts, and if the chrome on the rims is to chewed up I will powder coat them as well.

Hey old dog have you considered a body lift? not much but a little to lift the tank away from the diff?

I would wash it, but I think the dirt is the only thing holding the body together! Just kidding. All I did was take it out to the store a couple of times.
