Just clearing or getting some wood seasoned for the winter?

Just clearing or getting some wood seasoned for the winter?

It's a blow down from earlyer this year. Now it's fire wood for next year.
These 70* days have been nice for getting things done around the house:)

I let a tree do some creative body work yesterday. Going up a greasy incline, someone at the top mentioned something about 2 feet of air under my front tires before a tree snapped me to the right and wedged itself between behind the front axle, between the tire and frame. I’m hoping someone got a picture. :) A quick drag of the winch line and I was out and up the hill. No serious damage, but the 3/16th rocker protector/slider is going to be a bitch to bend back straight though. :D

This would be a much better posting with pics... :D

I got my PSC power steering box on the CJ5 today! Too bad it looks like my pump is either bad or doesn't pump good enough to power that fancy bit of cast iron...I have no better steering than without the pump at all. Worked great with the old box, tho??
Also replaced the drop pitman arm with one a touch longer and beefier, to try and get a little tighter steering out of it.

So, halfway into replacing the pump, and I get a call from a guy off CL, about a set of 4" lift springs I emailed him about. Had about 2.1 hours to drive 2 hours to get them or I'd lose them, so I jumped in the truck and drove up and got them. Not in the greatest shape, but a little work and they will work under my '76 CJ5 project! Not a bad $50 spent!

I got me some new tires on the old wreck.

We spent the weekend wheelen at Jellico. The jeep made it through some more abuse:bounce:
Theres a few pics on my club web site. I know you all like pics. (not to many of me though)

finished buttoning everything up on the oil pan and replacement of timing chain. How sad is it that I have to wait for payday to purchase the fluids( oil,filter,antifreeze,ect.ect...) to start her up? on a side note I have taken the KC lights off mine and put them on the wifeys TJ. Also have to wait to get the switch to hook them up,Yea I kept mine for the rock lights that will be installed soon:D

Had a good day in the shop today! got my winch and mount installed and buttoned up, installed a set of off road lights to go with it, and when it got too hot to work outside I brought all my electrical boxes in the house and wired up the custom dash I built a few months ago.
Also took the Aluminum coated headers I bought earlier this year, and sprayed them with Eastwood rust converter. So we will see how well it converts the rust on a high-temp item when I get around to installing the new exhaust.

I welded up a bracket for the passenger seat

I Power Washed and cleaned up some of the dirt inside mine this past weekend. Trying to figure out where to start, and what I need.
The old engine needs to be disconnected and removed, I want to clean up the engine bay, and go through some of the wires to try and remove the old ignition, paint it, and get ready for the 360.
The 360 needs a new Dizzy, reprogram the EFI from Howell, figure out if I am going to swap the tranny, get a clutch and put it in.
The body needs some fiberglass repair (I have one long 10" crack near the edge of rear driver fender by rear seat, which needs some bracing)
I want to put a new suspension lift, 33's or 35's and some steering / support. The brakes need to be checked out.
I also need a windshield frame, and maybe a dash. That's not taking in account any "surprises" along the way. Sheeew...

looked at it and looked at it some more then scratched my head an looked at it some more...lol:jeeplove:i,v only had it for a few weeks know.

Had a little blow out yesterday, so i'm fixin to pop the forcing cone off the header and replace the gasket at the collector.

I broke the 2nd commandment of motor work: Did not replace the rear main seal when I had the oil pan off. So pulled everything back off and corrected this (and stopped the annoying small leak). Will wait till tomorrow to add fluids so everything can cure. :bang:

I bought a 1 ton press and a hub puller so I could continue the conversions to modern breaks on my 67

Pulled the old sun grey fender flairs off and gave them a good paint and then re-attached them! Look sweet!:chug:
sry no pic!
