I hope there is still room for you.:D

Hey IO, yep me to? After mocking it up, it looks like there will be.

be sure there is nothing that will will cause trama to your favorite body when you are getting bounced arround.:D

Took the jeep on a small drive to the gas station to fill up for tomorrow. First time on the road in over two long years, finally feels like I'm making headway with it. :chug:

What did I do with my Jeep CJ today? Well naturally I put the wrenches to it. There's a factory defect in the radiator, removed and replaced. I test fit my new/used Auto Meter tach. and had a set of exhaust tips made up to route the exhaust out behind the rear wheels.

I moved the pass seat outward 3" and layed out the preliminary cut line for the fender notch. I can move the seat back 2 inches before it hits the roll bar. You would be amazed how much difference 2" can make when you are trying to get away from the steering wheel.:D

This I like. :)

These look very nice, can you tell us what they came out of? How far is it between the steering wheel and the seat back?? How far is it from the top of the roll bar to the seat bottom??

Agree, those seats look much nicer than mu bestop recliners:(,seems like he mentioned where he picked them in his build thread… sure do like them

Audi A4. :D

Hey IO, they are from an Audi A4. From steering wheel to back of seat -30". From top of rollbar to bottom of seat 46". These seats are full power, up down in and out w/ lumbar support, that's the measurement where I found my comfort.

lets make these measurements a bit clearer, please.

from the center of the horn button to the surface of the seat you rest your back on, measured horizontally.

place a straight edge from the top of the roll bar to the top of the windshield, measure from the bottom of the straight edge to the surface of the seat you put your butt on, measured vertically.:D

This lets me make an apples to apples comparison to what I have.:chug:

Those seats sure look nice, the work is professionally done, but I wonder how they will hold up to snow and rain and mud and constant sun real Jeep seats are exposed to day in and day out. I would expect a Lexus to have nice comfy seats, but I wouldn't expect a Lexus to grind through mud, sand and stone the way a CJ will. As you can probably see, I'm not so sure I'm a fan of mixing luxury car appointments with what is supposed to be a working mans vehicle. Yeah I know, I'm a Neanderthal, a throw back, shame should probably follow me around where ever I go. :)

I got them because of the storage. Full power, black leather, and heated for 2 bills is a bonus. Since I'm florida heat is a waste. But out in the snow, cold day on a trail, heated seats pretty good idea.
