What did you do to or with your CJ today?
Got back "incountry";) yesterday.
It was beautyful & warm today so I removed my 15 gal. stock tank.
Then installed my 20 gal "CL"find with the heavyduty skid plate.
I bolted her up with stainless steel fasteners & new hoses.
The sender even works.:chug: [url='http://www.jeep-

2 wrongs do make a right! redid my timing today at 9 degrees btdc instead of 5 and on the #1 cylinder instead of #6 and it was spot on.
How about that!:chug: i figured it was running smooth..

well i got a little accomplished today pulled my dipstick tube and welded it back together so it don't leak anymore, tightened up the u-bolts on the leaf springs, just checked everything underneath visually. found i had a u-joint strap loose causing a little vibration, looked everything over to make sure it was tight had a pretty good day

Replaced the bulbs in front blinkers, glued my rear view mirror back to the windshield, dropped the fluid and replaced in the front diff, painted diff cover black, also painted double tube front bumper I am switching to....overall a good day with the CJ7 :)

Brought the 67 to a builder today to have the rear axle totally rebuilt.

installed 14 guage steel for reenforced rear corners
started priming the tub to prep for the Metalic Gun Metal grey Paint that my sweet wife bought me to paint the jeep with

now i just need to sand the doors and get new fenders then shes ready for paint

rebuilt a T-14 I had bought to put in the 67 pulled the t case from the 67 to rebuild it. am about to go out and finish fabricating a new front bumper for the 67

The swing-arm tire carrier/jerry can mount I ordered in January finally arrived. Got it installed and it is SOLID. Only problem with installation was the adjusting nuts for the jerry can holders were metric. No 14mm deep socket, but a 6" crescent just takes a little longer.

Metric nuts on a classic CJ, that's sacrilege!

Threw the chainsaw in the back and went on a trail clearing, :)
lots of blow downs over the winter.

Got the frame off it's side axles under it shocks on and tires back on. Then cleaned up the mess so that I can begin again tomorrow with breaks and steering:chug:.

Took the top off and ran to the beach to watch my son's baseball practiceJeep Wiliams Beach.webp

Had a pretty good weekend got most of the under hood wiring done, the new power distribution box is going to work real well. I am also trying a "grounding block", a brass bar with threaded studs that transfer ground directly from battery negative and through the firewall within easy reach of everything that needs grounding. I have all the lights working, I ordered two new front signal lights from 4 wheel parts on Saturday and they called this morning saying to come pick them up so I guess they were here in town all along.

Yesterday I got most of the dash wired up. Now i gotta get it installed and finish that up. Then on to the engine wiring, front axle replacement, and general reassembly...I got 5 weeks left!

It was a beautiful sunny 76 degree day so I put the 2nd back seat in the mighty "8". Then took the kids out running the river bed & climbing waterfalls.
Now that the droughts over theres actually some water to deal with, but the kids had a great time!:D

Already posted pics of new wheels but here they are again.th_downsized_0319001022.webp
well one anyways, waiting for next weekend to rebuild carb and put in new plugs.

Got the wipers to work low and high with washer, no intermittent yet but still hopeful. The alternator is in and I have started running wires for it, mounted the 250 amp main fuse between the alternator and the battery. I am thinking of putting in a positive terminal block similar to the grounding blocks , just insulated. It seems the only hot connection I have is the battery side of the solenoid and with the new distribution block and the MSD6 hook up I am running out of stud to put things on. If anybody has any ideas on this I am all ears. I managed to put the new distributer in and most of the ignition wires are run. And I still have all day tomorrow to work on it!! I am hoping to be able to at least cruse the Sonic on go topless day. Still so much to do.

IO, we use blocks at work in motor control cabinets that have a place for a bigger wire on onside and places for many smaller wires on the other.
I honestly would believe this is a order only item at an electrical supply house and most counter guys it will be over their head so I would suggest looking in a Granger catalog to see if you could find such. I know they maake such a product is what I am trying to say and it would work out nice for what you want.
Another option, but cost a mint, is a painless product, the make a 6 fuse block that is controlled by a relay, that way you can turn it off. each fuse is a 15 amp.
Hope that helps Buddy:chug:

I had a day Saturday doing volunteer work in the SBNF so my projects kinda are divided up over Friday,Saturday and Sunday when I have a bit of time.
Friday I pulled the Tcase from the 67 to send it to the builder, I did not have time to get the tranny out and slip in the new one I built. Saturday evening I managed to weld in the receiver hitch into the new front bumper I am building for the 67 and gring the welds down to parent metal. Looks good, the rear you cannot tell how it was welded and I could have got the front to look as such but I decided to leave a curve at the joint as it is going be a place a lot of stress can develop. I know a lot of guys like to see puddles as it looks kinda neat, but the words om my mentor always flow through my mind. "guys who do not grind off welds are not sure of their penetration, a good fabricator looks for that smooth transition" anyway this afternoon I will weld on the arms to mount it to the Jeep and mount the tabs for the lights.
A few drilled holes after that and it will be mounting time. I also modified the brackets to mount the winch plate, they were set up very nice but the PO had welded 1/4 inch plate to the outside of the frame and I had to cut the square holes for the carriage bolts into rectangles so it would mount. went to a shop and had them punch the trough, but needed a bit of file work as the punch size they had did not match exactly. Looks sweet though and fits like it was designed that way.

IO, did you ever have any luck finding the electronic box for the intermintent wipers? I just changed mine to 2 speed also, couldn't find the electronic box new.Boneyards wouldn't give no warranty on theirs.

Hell it don't rain in Arizona anyway.

I have the switch and old motor for intermintent wipers there yours if you want them.
