Try SEM Color Coat for the door panel. Made for plastic and vinyl. Used it on mine (satin black) came out well. Was still a little too shiney for me so covered with SEM low luster clear. Mine were originally gray.

Sounds like a plan. These will ultimately be black as well.

Trick to painting plastic and vinyl is to make sure you clean it 2 or 3 times. Get some TSP at the hardware store or Home Depot. You would be surprised at how the plastic soaks up oil and dirt.

I can only imagine..... probly like a sponge...

BTW, if you have keys for the doors keep them or get a set. Then when re- assembling, don't hook up the inside door lock switch. You can then lock them with the key, but not unlock from inside. If you can't unlock the half doors, you can't get them off to steal. :D

Now THATS a great idea!!!

Don't we all grind our skidplates in the driveway? Especially at odd hours? I thought that would apply to all of us. Hell I just ran down to the driveway at 6 am to adjust my e-brake. I had been laying in bed for an hour thinking about it waiting for 6 as I thought it might be too early before that. But no power tools, so all was good

I'm one of those night owls.... nuthin good happens till after 9 or 10 am - however, tons of work gets done til 1 am or so...... My wife will usually come outside around 10 and reminds me that normal people are going to bed. That's their fault for being normal..... LOL. I try to use the excuse the garage door is shut, but she normally ain't buyin it.

EEEreeeeeerrrrrrr! So, my Ford Fusion went down to a BAD skip (ended up being a bad coil pack, with the standard $500 paid it's back up and running), I had to get to work, no problem, the CJ has been running well so I'll take that. So I jump in hit the starter and tick, tick, tick, tick, BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzz zz zz z z z .................... With jumper cables attached, nothing. So I went directly to the solenoid, all I ended up with were HOT jumper cables. EErrrrrrrrrrrrr................

Clearly the starter is shot, or there's a short in the cable going to the starter. No sparks, no arcing. I'm sure it's the starter, I've never really liked that starter, it's always sounded wrong in some way. More like a jet engine starter. While I'm at it a new battery will replace the old warrior that's been completely abused in the CJ. All-in-all an expensive day at the parts counter for me.

Ouch that's a bad day

Mocked up the rear corner armor for LED's!

I would think that would throw a better light pattern - the higher the better.

Amazing, how does this happen. The started was likely going for a while, but it never showed any signs of being in trouble. One minute it is working as it always has. The next day, NOTHIN' ... dead short. The starter came out this evening, naturally I needed to test it out of the jeep. Absolute DEAD SHORT, scrap metal .... not exactly scrap metal, it is worth a core charge. The new battery sure does look good though.

Giving gert a hard time aside, most any metallic teal will work....

Put in the rest of the pistons, finished up the heads and installed them, and started to do a Blazer heater blower conversion. Waiting for the mail. Hopefully, the gasket and seal kit for the T-18 will be here today.
