We used it to start compacting the base for our son's driveway. (yes, we will rent a real compactor, but ran out of time today)

Washed my CJ today, and put its winter coat on so it can sit outside in the driveway for a while while I work on my other jeep in the shop.

Hey, Dave -

I sent you a PM. Check your mailbox.

Mmmmmm! 8 cylinders. Really considering this for my 79. I'd love to find a 360 somewhere.

Yep. A 360 would be nice. Maybe practice on this and go for a 360. This was free so I figured what the heck. It will just take up space in the garage for a while.

Making progress in small steps..... fenders are ready to hang....

Thanks for the kind words..... but, no. That's not raptor. Holding myself to my declaration a couple years ago, I'm still taking the cheap route where possible. Just before putting the tub back on the frame, I hit the firewall with DupliColor spray on bedliner. Don't think I'd ever use it a truck bed, nor in a Jeep tub, but it looks great on the firewall and now the inner fenders. Just rattle can stuff.

You are good. Pull motor without even opening the hood.

Jeep magic :)
And even better - I didn't do it.
Many of you guys do this stuff yourselves- I do not have the tools or the knowledge to attempt a motor rebuild- and now I have no money left but boy I will sure be glad to drive it!

While out for a cruise I found a garage sale.
Picked up theses items for a stupid price.
The parents were practically giving their grandfather's stuff away so their daughter could park her car in the garage.

Milwaukee 4 ton jack (24" lift)
Late 1800s to early 1900 Rock Island 70 lb vise
Niehoff cabinet
Cobra 29 cb
Hand tools

A new 4 ton Milwaukee goes for $1100
All had for less then a tank of gas.
