What did you do to or with your CJ today?

Hey that's prairie city. Did you get up that pyramid to the top? :D

We should hook up bud.

~ Cheers :chug:

Hell yea. I don't yet know any other wheelers in the area. I'm in sac.

I just skirted the edges of the pyramid - didn't give it a real try. I'm still learning the ground clearance characteristics of my rig.

Ordered new defrost diffusers a couple days ago. Mine were warped a good bit, and got one straightened out with a good bit of heat. The other, well, I applied too much bend with not enough hot...... broke it in half. Anyway, found a guy selling new manufactured pairs on eBay - and they’re made stateside...... I got em today - perfectly straight, a nice pebble d finish, and the slots appear to be a bit more narrow - should help get warm air to the top of the windshield.....

We have a few jeeps in the family - we'll wheel with ya.

I'll PM you my info.

Yeah that's the important part of wheeling - get comfortable before you push yourself. Knowing the rig first, then learning what more it, and you can do little by little is the key.

PC OHV park is a good place to test things you do in a easy out and home area. Rubicon trail is good place to test yourself! lol

What is the rubicon really like? It is possible in a stock wheelbase flat fender with only a couple of inches of lift?

Wheelbase is a pro - not a con. Height is important though, as well as tire size and available flexing. More important are the low gears (which you already said you'll need to improve) and driving / spotting skills.

You'll want to do a little more before there I think. Though I haven't seen your rig or driving style in person yet...

Good news is, when you're ready, I can show you a lot of it. And it's beautiful up there...

However, all that being said, there are people who take stock-ish flattys through...

Just installed door panels from Seatz and shifter boots from Stronghold.
It’s taken a year to find and part with the money but it’s done!

Looking good

Not much to look at, but finished the 2.46 conversion in my Dana 20 . With 22% lower low range, it should be the same as swapping my 4.10s for 5.00s
