What did you do to or with your CJ today?
That oughta do nicely till you can get in there and weld in some new........

I don't think there's enough to weld on, but it'll do until i get the new body tub for sure.

Project86 had some old sun visors for sale so after 15 years of no visors I got some also eBay had some torx head bolts.... I couldn’t pass em up

I will take one more easy win for the day...... not much more 80s iconic than a CJ with fat knobby tires and genuine KCs

Love the KCs. I have been contemplating getting some. Maybe for the top of my roll bar or windshield. Not sure though.

Do you guys leave the visors on when the top is off? Seem like they’d be in the way

Sweeeeet!
Leave the visors on....keeps your ballcap on your head (6' and taller).

I have a set of visits, but when I stuck the security box overhead, it takes up some visor room. I’m toying with a couple different mods to get em mounted....... I’ll work on it some more come spring......

Drove to the hardware store to get some salt for the water softener. 4 bags of 40 lbs. each. Put them all in the passenger seat/floor for the ride home. That Jeep has never driven that smoothly and evenly before!

I really think it would be worth it to buy four more bags and keep them in the Jeep untill i need them.

We didn't get that much..... I sat at work and watched it fall, and start to melt, before I left......

Finally got off my wallet and finalized my purchase of the Gronk mc2100 to replace the PO adapter and carter YFA. It’s running 22” of vacuum and I can’t connect the vacuum advance without killing it now that I have a functioning canister on the new dizzy.

MC2100 is on and put a new ignition coil in.
Carb install was smooth just need to grab some return springs and a new battery as it’s dead dead shorted cells drops to 4.5v on a crank.

Found the nice restrictor plate gasket on the old carter YFA

Looks just like mine, and yes mine was an easy install as well. I didn't even have to adjust mine. Purred like a kitten!
Do you have any idea where the air filters can be purchased?

Installed a new radio and speakers in the Jeep today. Got a Marine radio and speakers so hopefully if I have any leaks the radio won't :dung: out.
Also picked up a cheap dash cam, they had them on clearance at Wally World for seven bucks. I was surprised at how well the video looks. The wife bought me one for Christmas that I put on the Tacoma. It's a Garmin and I know she paid way more for it but the video quality of the seven dollar one is just as good. The Garmin unit is a lot smaller though and hides in front of the rear view mirror.
Took a short ride to check out the new stereo and camera and as soon as I pulled into the driveway I smelled antifreeze. Yep, upper radiator hose had burst again. My bad, I knew it was bad and should of replaced it.
Called the parts stores and no one had it in stock but Advance Auto said they could have one in a couple of hours. I thought "yeah right" but to my surprise they called and said it was in. Ran to town and it was an exact replacement.
My valve cover gasket that I ordered came today but so far the Locktite "right stuff" is holding up. Not nary a drop! That is some good stuff, a little pricey but it works great.
