Finally hot a chance to put the new wheels on my CJ7 that have been sitting in my basement since October when I had shoulder surgery. I am slowly amassing the parts for March when I will pull the tub, paint it, treat the frame, rebuild my Transmission and put my new wiring harness in.2309cd7a6b68c13b1933d49689a4387d.jpg

Wheels look good Scout!

Got my Jeep under the lifting beam and rigged the engine up starter off and PS engine mount removed letting the oil drain overnight so I can drop the pan and tackle the oil pump and do a bearing roll.

Anybody know if the electrical bulkhead connector comes off left/right side of engine bay?
Was starting to pull the grill for better access to the timing chain and wanted to leave the head light harness installed in one piece.

If your talking about splitting your factory fuse block from the firewall connector then yes. There is a screw dead centre in the block accessed from the engine bay that holds the block together (driver side). Provided its original.

Painted the WILLYS and 4 WHEEL DRIVE logos on the 3a today. I used stencils and out spray adhesive on the back to hold them onto the Jeep. They worked well, and I only had a little clean up after I pulled the stencils off

Finally got off my big ol fat butt and finished up the hard uppers. Got em ready to go, and while it’s monsooning here, I dropped of one of the lock cylinders to have a set of keys made. By this weekend they should be on board and lockable ( to prevent theft - the interior lock button has been disabled.

Sent from my back deck overlooking the yard that now looks like beef stew....... that was a good bit of rain today.

I disabled my lock button also and a small screw on thing a ma jig that keeps the door from coming right off if someone thought they could just lift the door right off. We are finally done with the lightning and rain here, but the wind is still kicking at 20-30 mph. Lost power for 3 hours yesterday evening also

We had a couple close lightning strikes near our office - shook the building. Hadn’t been too windy tho.......

Crazy weather here in East Tennessee the past couple of days. Temps in the 70's last week, thunder storms, tornado watch and flooding yesterday and today woke up with a couple of inches of snow.
Anyway took the Jeep out for its maiden voyage in what little snow we had. Since it had warmed up to above freezing by this time and with all the rain yesterday it was more muddy than snowy.
The Jeep did great though even with the street tires on him. The wife and I took a little drive through the woods here on our little farm.
Sorry about the duplicate pic, can't seem to delete it............

We had a little sun today (still 40°), so I took pics of the willys after painting the letters black

I finally have some input. Yesterday I cleaned and painted the original AMC20 . Next for it will be the new 4.10s. Today I finished cleaning the engine harness. Mostly repairing my 273,000 butt connectors from years of patching. I also cleaned the intake and got a coat of primer on it. Sorry no pics of the intake work. I installed fenders and hood and removed the rusted out windshield frame and broken windshield. I also shuffled it around in the shop. Closer to the tools. Which means closer to the door and running.

I like the 1/2 door look better. Just looks more natural I think.

Thanky, sir........ but it kinda gives me that itchy Wrangler feeling. But I do like this setup WAY better than the full doors. I hate those things.
