What did you do to or with your CJ today?
Well now, after seeing how ambitious everyone's been, I'm going to order my headers... I feel so lame.. :)

Put my new muffler and tailpipe on today. Hopefully I can start it up tomorrow and here the exhaust.

Started a week ago, still working on it.
Dropped the Transfer Case and put the twin stick kit in, new pinion seal and u-joints on the front universal, dinolined the inside of the tub, new glass packs.

A few weeks ago I removed the Carb and went to the wrecking yard and pulled the TBI fuel injection off a 89 GMC. Finely got it running. It runs great no more stalling as I start to climb.

drove my 85 CJ7 into the garage today to try and troubleshoot why the wipers suddenly lost electricity, when I shut it off the ignition locking cylinder froze, so I spent a couple hours tearing apart the steering housing and freeing up and lubing all the moving parts. Never got to the wiper delema but I did fix the horn also.

Nothing, been in the shop two weeks. I'm jonesing for my cj. :(

Replaced wheel cylineder on the drivers side rear was going down hill and peddle went to the floor with hardly and brakes downshifted quick and used e-brake. Good thing I replaced all the e-brake lines and got it fixed last year.

Got lucky when a coworked told me he was scraping his ford explor, he knows I'm going to be putting an 8.8 in my cj (been saving up for a locker) so he asked me if I wanted to by his rear. He said he thought it was a welded diff but had never had the cover off, but knew it had 4:56 gears.
I said the gears were of no use to me as I had 4:10's and I didn't want a welded diff, but I'd give him $100 for it for spare axles and the calipers and rotors which were all good. He took it and I took the rear home. I took the cover off today and found a Detroit locker in there. I guess they are right when the say "every dog has his day"

Two days ago I FINALLY lowered a yj body onto my cj frame. Yesterday I connected the last of the body mounts, and today I plan to get some more body work done once I get home.

Don't tell him it will just make him feel bad.:D

Thats one hell of a $100 score!! Even I dont get that lucky. :notworthy:

Rebuilt carb have her purring like a little kitten and running like a scholled dog!!!!!!!!!!!:grinjeep:

dropped the Transfer Case so i can replace a seal on the end of the Transmission . that sucker is heavy. while i have it out, gonna drop the inspection cover and replace all the seals in as well. might as well do a twin stick as well.

Dang it!! Well, a couple days ago I loaded up my Cj on the trailer to get it out of the way while I am tearing down my garage. I backed the set into the back yard, but forgot a few things in the rush...
#1 I had removed the roll cage previously
#2 I didn't lay the windshield down
#3 there is a low-hanging guy wire/dog tie-out between me and where I wanted the CJ
#4 The Cj cowl is MUCH higher than the guy wire...

After I figured out why my tow rig wasn't backing properly, I found that I had knocked the windshield frame off the driver's side mount, and just bent the :dung: out of the passenger's side hinge. So now I think I need a new WS frame...:censored::censored::censored:

Well I cussed, kicked, screamed...... but I fixed my headlights after I rewired one connector and salvaged the other by just cleaning it. I revived my dash lights but still have a loose connection at the fuse block.

Jamie...or anyone else, I need to talk about a building my own harness for my gauges and dash lights. I assume its pretty much a 12 ga power wire with 18 ga branches to each light and gauge. Anyone else done this??

Oh.... I repainted the headlight grills too. Here she is....

I installed some off road lights then lost my gas cap. So I guess today was kind of a wash.
