tarheel, thats exactly what i did for my dash lights. make sure they are all grounded as well, as that will kill your progress. i did the same thing with the grounds as i did with the power for the lights. i have a fiberglass tub, so i ran a 12 gauge to the negative side of the battery, then ran 16 gauge jumpers to all the gauges, including the speedo. make sure you clean the back of the speedo where the lights clip in, as that is the ground between the light socket and gauge.

got it home. pulled the rear driver drum off and watched brake parts come tumbling out all over the floor. gotta figure out where that went wrong the first time.

I sat around te house tracking down a Trailer to borrow next week so I can pick up my spare frame and tubs for my CJ stretch.

Replaced the starter solenoid relay. Much more reliable starting. Did some more steering/suspension checks, and discovered the tie rod end on the pitman rubs the tie rod. Now I know why the steering behaves like it does. I don't know why it reaches that far back, unless the steering box/pitman arm came from a truck. Any experience with this problem?

Got the T-18 pulled and cleaned up a little in prep for my drivetrain swap. Now I gotta get time to pull the replacement 360 and get them matched up and in the truck...
I'm still torn about pulling the body and doing a real good cleaning, or just get it running again.
Oh yea, I stole the winch off the front to put on my car hauler again...I'm tired of hand-winching trucks onto the trailer!

I finished the throttle linkage to the MC2100. doesn't sound like much but it turned into a fair sized project. first time it has been cool enough to work in the shop and call it fun in a couple of months.

It's funny that of all the articles that describe how easy and good a 2100 swap is none ever says that the linkage is messed up and hard to adapt.

Got my new all aluminum Be Cool radiator and FlowKooler water pump! will install this weekend.

Just bought m8000 warn winch, cover, wireless remote, and finally my front ring and pinion 4.27 for my Dana 30 ...

Now waiting to get it all and install it all... Snow runs this year!

Disasembled my parts 20 for the R&P, then tore down my tired 44 front to get it ready for new bearings, ball joints etc, etc.

I wanna hear what the results of this are. I'm looking for an aluminum radiator and electric fan setup.. be sure and update this.

Waiting for tranny at shop.
Put in 6 degree wedges to correct caster issues on front end.
Looked at other alignment problems and called it a night!

Three or four weeks ago when out four wheelin' going up a steep grade I blipped the trottle pretty good, made it to the top and then had a ticking sound from the engine. It was coming from the passenger side of engine, thinking it was a collapsed lifter. Took off valve cover today and started checking things, #3 cylinder intake rocker was really loose. Remove rocker and found the ball end was broke off of the pushrod. Found some old pushrods I had ( always keep what you think you will never need, you might need that someday!), put in the old pushrod and it runs good. Maybe I bought myself a little more time to finish this season and extend my plans on an overhaul!:)

put the Transfer Case back in and welded an extension onto the original shifter. I was going to do a twin stick, but time constraints made me abort that plan. Tomorrow i will put the shifter in. everything else is hooked up but that
