Got more pictures? post a trip report man. love looking at moab. Have never been there yet, but seen lots of you tube vids

I replaced the shifter knob with a #2 Billiard ball, cleaned up and painted the shifter levers, and cleaned up the shifter boots. Also put heat shielded fabric in between the carpet and floor, and sealed the boots up with some Zinc sheet metal screws for a professional/tough look.

Started with replacing the rear crossmember and ended up cutting parts for a new rear bumper while I was there...

Picked up new 38x15x16.5 boggers for my project.. Unfortunately they came on this hideous truck;)

Continued rust repair on my Meyer hard doors. I bought the hard top and full doors for $300 bucks. Doors had some bad rot on the bottom that had been repaired years back, whoever did the repair never actually cut the rot from the door. The placed metal over it, built a cap for the bottom of the door basically. I am a brand new member and this is my first post. I have attached some pictures of the doors. Before and after, and the section I cut from the bottom of the door. I stripped all paint to bare metal and then I used "self etching primer" and then coated with truck bed liner. The new section I put in place was galvanized. Also built my own window run channel. All hardware is now Stainless.

Started putting a new oil pan gasket on yesterday. Only have a few bolts to finish and its on to the radiator install.

Broke a motor mount and had the clutch z-bar come apart. So now I have no clutch. Ordered new motor mounts from NAPA should get here late today so I know what I will be doing tomorrow.

Layed out the new dash. Tell me what you think.

They look great. Nice job.:chug:

you really should start a thread on this.

be sure you know what is behind the dash that you may hit with your new layout, heater defrost duct and things like that.:D
All I did was use a different oil pressure gauge and it was a major PITA.

I have everthing marked. Wiring that is. As for the gauges it is a void behind the dash so plenty of room.

I will be starting a build but I am on a time crunch and want to get as much done before my next surgery.:(

My next task after is filling in about 30 holes made by previous owners. Should be fun.:pissed:

Finished my oil pan gasket install and put the radiator and hoses back on. Need to hook up the starter and top the fluids and hope for no leaks.

I went 4 wheeling today!!

Can it get ANY better than this??

I know what you mean.
It looks like you have a bit of a climb ahead of you in that first picture. :D
I lived in Sioux City Iowa until I was 23. From there I moved to southern Minnesota. Not much better there.
I've always wanted to live in colorado. Several years ago I made the move and now I love it here.

Lots of trails here. The trailhead of the above trail is only 20 minutes from my home.

I dream of Colorado... Seriously, I do!

The Jeep club here takes a trip they call "Man vs. Wild" every year to Co. Driving their rigs from here to there and back, along with a weeks worth of trail riding once they get there, camping out the whole time.. Was going to try it this year maybe... I have till June to prep for it, hope it happens for me this year, next year for certain..
