What did you do to or with your CJ today?
did you ever get into a welding project and your mig welder runs out of wire? and of course i dont have a spare spool. guess ill have to wait till tomorrow to finish.

Got the 20 taken out and the 8.8 set in place. Terry's going to weld the perches tomorrow. Hopefully we can get the brakes hooked up and give it a test ride after work tomorrow. It might be ready for the weekend yet.

got the soft top back on after the silicone incident. put it outside for the night. did anyone know that silicone has a shelf life? i didnt.

Got my Aussie locker installed in the front, and the new double cardan drive shaft and new yoke installed in the rear! :D

Went for a ride

Let the wife drive it because her Cherokee needs a power steering pump and she ran it out of gas  So I had to go get her and told her you know the gas guage does work. I know it's a CJ but it needs gas just like yours to run.

Cleaning and detailing it for the show tomorrow in Independence Missouri. How many on here have ever shammied under their hood and the frame and axles?

Put the old gal to work today. Cabled off to two tall dead pine trees and pulled while my son did the deed with the chain saw. Both fell right where we wanted. 4wd and pine straw is a blast.

My CJ is going back together after an accident back in '97. I had stripped all the damaged sheetmetal off, and am now starting back together with it finally. I did a front to rear poly bushing replacement to get rid of a lot of torn body / cab mounts and spring shackle bushings.

Went to the Jeep show for Down's Syndrom Saturday. Had a whole lot of fun on the RTI ramp, and then a bunch of us went four wheeling on a buddy's private trails. The new locker works great! :D

After 2.5 months I finaly recieved my new Corbeau baja xrs seats. They say they are a direct fit for CJ7 , but my sliders doent fit. So, I just ordered the pedestal adapter brackets #C22027. I'll post the pics when I finally get to install them.

i took the girls for a ride... into the garage. ha ha. but a 3 yr old and a 2 yr old girl is thrilled to just go forward and back

:)Like to see a picture of your seats when installed.

Yesterday I installed a new head unit in the CJ7 . I dont know who owned the cj before but they must have been military, I have never seen so much duct tape. They wrapped duct tape around the head unit to keep it in place. I also removed the carpeting as it was pretty awful. Today I am installing new side view mirrors and replacing all the broken plastic dash knobs with aluminum knobs.

Installed our new Bestop sport reclining seats. Do sit taller than worn out stock ones. Going on jeep ride round mtn roads later tonight. BEST TIME TO. DO 35MPH AND GET AWAY WITH IT LOL....

it was a good weekend.

got some new,to me, tires. Finely re jetted the 2150 from 49 to 47, going to run that for a bit and look at the plugs but it smells a lot better. I replaced the goose neck to intake water hose, the last one not new. I admit I was motivated, drove the CJ to lunch drove home, pulled into the yard and the hose blew. these things always seem to happen on the block or in the driveway. My Jeep loves me, what can I say.:D I pulled the fuel tank sending unit one more time and made a special gasket for it from a "Kong" dog toy, 3" OD, 2.125" ID and .25" thick. It is being tested in a jar of gasoline for a day or two. If the rubber does not pass I am going "old school" on it. Cork! I can get 1/4" cork at the hobby shop and to tell the truth, the more I think on it the better cork sounds.
