- Right now, only one '76 CJ5. 304 with a three speed stick. Everything else is pretty much stock 'cept for a 4" suspension lift. Came to me with a back breakin' 4" suspension lift attached to a reverse shackle setup (Reversed the reverse shackle :dung: and now she rides like a Caddy!) Also posess a few 60s & 70s Mustangs and a couple of late 70's F150s 4X4s.
Look like the old school Buckshots or Super Swampers to me. I still have a set of the old Gateway Buckshot Mudders in the shop and they have the same style tread.

Dropped it off for yearly inspection.
Is this an all day thing?
Sometimes more depending on if it needs something.
Here in Pa. you take it to a local shop that is certified to inspect vehicles. Ive been swapping out all the worn parts and it paid off this year. Passed with flying colors so only cost me $40. He did confirm something I already knew though. The front driveshaft has more play in the slip joint than Id like. I do think I have another though. Time to measure the ones in my inventory.

hit the pick and pull today. snagged up some valve cover bolts for the 4.0 swap and a couple of TFI coils of some f150's for a later upgrade.

Not really a jeep thing but close enough, I picked up a couple small top handle Stihl chainsaws (model 009). Not like new, well used, he wanted $200 for both $75 for one, $125 for the other. We agreed on $125 for the pair. A little work and the jeep will have a nice little trail saw to go in the new rack.

got my running again!! The 4.0 head swap seems to be a success. Now to button the minor things, like say the exhaust. It sure is a little throaty with only the header on it.

Moved the 2A to storage, I hate doing that, but the town said move, tag, fence or carport. The boat also.

Put my first coat of black on my Runck clone. I've also been burning through my Christmas and birthday cash; cleaning up engine bay wiring, H4 headlights with new relays, new walnut grant steering wheel, thinking about tackling a new dash soon.
We're on our second 20" storm in two weeks so I'm heading out to get a fire going in the garage and tinker. Cheers everyone!

My brother moved my 7 to next door, I told him the tow bar would not work. He bent it to the bumper and off the ball trying to back up across the street on a corner with a grade. I told him it came off the ball and get his truck out of the road. The traffic gave us dirty looks, and I had to use the high lift to move rear over enough to get around the mail box. A couple of lifts and pushes and we got it out of the street and on the lawn. A couple of more lifts and pushes and then he pushed it in with a tire between the bumper and his rear bumper.
He can verily back his Comanche by it`s self let alone a trailer. It took him 6 times to not put the boat in between the lines at the storage place 12' across, finely told him to just leave it, and it is setting at a angle. The 2A it took him 4 times and I told him to pull ahead and I unhooked it and pushed it in myself.
When he helps me it always costs me something, like the first time I towed him with my brand new tow strap he wrapped it around the bumper, got to where we were going and it was cut 3/4 through. When I moved to his place I towed the boat he towed the 2A. And after getting it in position he rammed my front bumper/brush guard and ripped the gusset from the bumper. He put the 1978 Golden Eagle J10 in and rammed the shop. And when he parks in front of it he backs in and rams it very time until he put a 6' board across as a tire stop and still parks at weird angles. I ask him do you even use your mirrors or do you back up until you hit some thing? He says he uses his mirrors so either he can not see or he is just plain ignorant.
So when I move out I can not afford to help him anymore.

pulled the cj out of the barn after the head swap and backed it in, to prepare for tacking together the new bumper with spare swing out.
