I added ammo boxes.. Later will throw in the real deal and not plastic ones but they serve their purpose and are cheap

The ones you have are tough, don't rust and don't rattle. Nothin' wrong with that. Now for some milk crates. I've got to set up some of mine again. In my old CJ5 there was a system. Quail hunting got one set, big game got another, camping another set. It was a good system for a quick get away.

I will prolly keep these in there for a while.. I added two Walmart $7 tweeters to my roll bar on each side pointing to front seats.. Made a world of difference plus a 10" sub behind back seat.. Very loud and surprisingly great sounding

Not to mention my Walmart $20 Bluetooth radio that doesn't worry me if someone decides to steal it and it works well.. It's a warm day so time to ride with half doors

Busy 1/2 day on the CJ:

Re-routed the E-brake, I had the line outside the frame rails, moved them inside for some safety.

Found a gap in one of my rear spring bushings between the spring and the frame ears. Last time I put the bolt in I used a standard thread nut on a fine thread bolt. Felt tight, wasn't though. The springs are tight now.
Found where the flange on one of my cats. was touching the Transfer Case . Bent that out of the way.

Found where a long bolt was touching a header. Cut that shorter.

Tightened this and that.

Got out the power washer and washed the oil/grease off the underneath. Was afraid I was losing 2nd gear, it just wasn't feeling right. The CJ has had a small leak in the Transfer Case bottom pan. Tightened that up and topped off the Transmission . Almost 1.5 quarts! My goodness that is now on my maintenance list. The Transmission is like new again. Goodness what's wrong with me?

Checked a number of "To Does" off the list.

My engine is running low vacuum, and I wanted to try something different besides propane to find the leak. My plan was to buy a halloween smog/smoke machine for $25 to mimic the $1000 smoke machines the professionals use. At the last minute I decided to enjoy a cigar with my 360.

I blocked off the internal bowl vents, and choke plate using duct tape and cardboard to keep the smoke from escaping, attached a hose to a intake fitting and blew cigar smoke into the intake. Worked great, found smoke escaping from the throttle plate shaft.

Side note, closing off carb wasn't completed at the time this picture was taken.

My throttle bushing broke at the pedal.. No one in town with one so I Used a couple coins.. Drilled a hole in one then Dremel tooled a line to the hole and slid on cable and closed gap.. Works great!

Thanks Pete. I am nervous about putting things back together. I am betting that I will find hoses and wired that I did not label well enough. You know, I said "heck, I will know where that connects". Which is one reason I want to get this done. So I don't forget the little things.

Gonna try to hook the fuel lines up this weekend and replace the output shaft seal before putting the body on. Hopefully will do that work this weekend.

I am gonna need an army of friends to move the tub.

I wish I had the space to have both in the garage. Then I could do more in the evenings. Right now it is weekend time.

Playing hookie today. Just finished drilling my support plates and welding in my body mounts. Not super nice like what a lot of you guys do but it's a big improvement over what was there. Gonna let it cool down then hit it with a little paint. Then I'm going to spray the entire area back there with a couple of coats of fluid film while I've got the tank out. I'd like to go ahead and mount the tank back up but I may do my ubolt flip and maybe my locker install while its out since there is so much more room to work. Cheers.

I didn't do it by choice - both sides of the support crossmember had fatigue cracked where the body mount hole is so this seemed like the logical fix vs trying to remove the entire crossmember. But, I'm glad I can help with you list

Dropped the Transfer Case and adapter and installed the gasket between tranny and the adapter. Replaced the adapter seal. Hopefully this greatly reduces the oil loss.
