What did you do to or with your CJ today?
Today was productive, even the weather was beautiful. Put the nose back on the CJ, wife was happy. All is good in the world!
Learned that the OMIX power booster is, spacing for the master cylinder is METRIC, about 2.32" NO American made MC will fit. Bought a rebuilt Cardone (USA) unit, fits fine.
Do you know if this Cardone booster be used to upgrade if your CJ doesn't have power brakes?
Green-Next time your friends Jeep acts like that. Pinch off the fuel return line from the fuel filter.

Had a similar episode Sunday. Once I got on level ground and let her sit a while she was good to go. Sure makes a good case for fuel injection.
I had anticipated a deadly backbreaking ride with the short wheel base and leaf springs, but she did better than expected. (better than my old F-250) Not comfy by any means, I just had expected to die a horrible painful death. I also took things slow and easy. I know that coilovers would be much softer riding, so I still want to do the changeover.
This Jeep has a Dodge 360 out of a truck, and a Holley carb that probably would be better on a drag racer.
That's SEXY Gert!
Looks beefy!

A Jeep is like a woman! All winter nobody could care less about you, but the second the sun comes out and you take that top off, everybody wants to be your friend.![]()
Captainlance - is that your Checker in the background?
And to make this CJ related.... how are you going to route your exhaust from the header and clear the slave cyl.?
Just drove my CJ5 4 hours to the Carolina Beach. First serious road trip i've done in my Jeep. You could tell it didn't like to be above 65mph. It never overheated, but it was getting into the 220+ range. I pulled over every couple hours to let her cool down, and to give myself a break. Driving a old CJ on the highway takes a lot out of ya!![]()
