Off into the swampy woods of the Gulf Coast, I engaged 4Wheel Low for the first time since rebuilding the drive train three years ago. I can push over trees, plow through weeds higher than my Jeep, and go through boggy spots without spinning a rear wheel. This means no mud slung up the side of my Jeep when I get home. I LOVE IT!

Turned 500 miles on the new engine just as we pulled up to the gas pump today. 500 miles was the goal that I wanted to reach before heading out to Ouray for the 7th Annual Jeep-CJ Trail Ride as far as engine break in. With 2 weeks until we head out, the engine is running like a top! :D Bolted the skid plate in place, and it looks as if we are ready to go............except, as we got home, the headlights quit working! We are sure it's just a loose wire, so tomorrow before it gets too hot and humid, we will take care of it.

That's a nice 76-77 CJ5

The old vintage Jeep ads are the best!

I always like the jeep add with the flashback of riding in the jeep and on the buffalo with the man and women. Was wondering which was the smoother ride:)

I thought the ad pic was a given the way they were dressed.

ENVY As in "green with" :D Can't wait to see you in Colorado Springs week after next!

Getting close to road worthy
Noticed steering box had up down play ..pulled it out PO though hey I've got all these shims better use them.
Wong grease in there too
Plus snap ring was not holding anything
Bought a few e clips so with a file and a little guess work I made a suitable clip to retain the bearings and order some self levelling grease for the box.
Plus I opened the shiny new heater that turned up yesterday
