What did you do to or with your CJ today?
Sounds like a badge of honor type thing to say you completed the trail and survived
It may just be a Darwin thing going on there. Stupid is, stupid does thing. :chug:

Today I ripped my soft top parts out from the pile of weeds they've been merging with all summer, when the leaky old shed they had been in for a decade got demolished. I installed the hardware and managed to stretch the top on. I'll leave it alone for a day or two to stretch back out and maybe evaporate a little of the grandfather's coffin smell it has going on. Then on the next sunny day give it a good wash

30 minutes here and that top would have been ready to stretch out 15 minutes ago.

Well it was yesterday now, but the weather felt pretty nice out, the weather person calling it a false fall. A little lower temps but mainly low humidity and dew point so the back seat rider and I took a ride along the Mississippi River out to the spillway. Ordered oem body mount pucks & a devoted rocker switch- voltage/usb for my new 2nd battery.
Ordered stronger battery hold downs for the 2 batteries now residing on the rugged ridge tray.
Rebought my domain I owned from 2002 - 2009 www.greatcj8.com

Well been here a couple of times. Really have no funds for a completeRear axle planned rebuild. I did go to the Off Road shop here and look at the Beast. Took some before photo's as it is in line for the BDS 4" lift and complete steering rebuild with a steering stabilizer. For the most part, it is a looky visuale thing. Since it will likely only ever see the current 33x12.5x15's. It drove great without. Think I am leaving it the dark brown with checkerplate rust cover repair plating for now and just replace rear axle with Currie 3rd member wide trak build when suspension is being replaced eh Asked the shop to do breakdown and build photo progress. Then I can show it off lol Felt good to get a bit into the plan. Laughably the rear axle rebuild with disc brake and e brake conversion is the same as doing the rear axle brake job on the full floater Dana 60 on the 1st Gen W250. That nightmare needs front brakes too and suspension bushings and leaks.. Smart money is on getting the CJ7 on the road 1st eh Live Large eh Sorry pics still on phone will post asap eh
