Just converted to a 2100 carb, and I'm up and running again. Yippee!
Now I need to set the timing, but before I dig in to that I am hoping someone can tell me what modifications have been done by the PO.
Pics attached

I think it may have had the nutter bypass, due to the blk/orange blk/purple wires.

I also know that there has been an ignition and dizzy upgrade. MSD6 ignition, MSD Dizzy, and what looks to be an old coil, and a motorcraft clip. The clip has a crack in it, I discovered as I was about to install a tach to get ready to set the timing. Is this a must replace, or normal wear?

What I don't know is what was done correctly, and what wasn't!
Any help would be appreciated. Also if anyone has suggestions on things to look for after the carb conversion that would be great. Sorry for the 20 questions in one post, but I figured the more info on what was modified would help put the puzzle together.

Thanks,
GR

Thanks. Any advice on what I should ask for in the parts store. Is it still "coil for my 84 CJ, with screw connections"? or is should this coil be a diffrent size than OEM?
Sorry I know almost nothing, but I am learning (I hope).

I got it from Autozone it's a MSD blaster coil. It will be the same size as the stock one.

It may have had the Nutter By Pass. See if the wires spliced in by the coil go straight to the Ing. module.
I was wrong about this the by pass will have two wires spliced in going from the Ing. module to the dissy not the coil.

Get the Blaster and get rid of the butt connectors and solder and shrink wrap on some good waterproof crimp on ring connectors , or corrosion will stall you out at the wrong time and place, nice dizzy.

Thanks all. I appreciate all the info and the pics are a great help. Once I get the 2100 running right, I think this wil be my next project.
I hope to have an updated with pics of my new coil soon.
