Windshield Wiper Help

Windshield Wiper Help
Oldjeeplady - The wire colors do not match. Im not good enough to bench test and figure the functions out. Would you happen to remember which colors did what or have the ability to take a picture to see if the colors match what I have? Thanks for your help.

IIRC: the OP had the issue with the OEM wiper motor also.
My SWAG on this-Either the harness has an issue or there's an issue with the install it's self.

Here is a link with some pictures from my bench test. http://www.jeep-cj.com/forums/f7/windshield-wiper-troubleshooting-24758/

Do NOT go by the wire colors in these pictures as they are not correct. But you get the idea of what I did. I actually took the wiper motor apart  and traced the wires. A common problem which I experienced is understanding how the park function works. That wire is actually hot all the time until the motor turns and little finger contacts in the motor break the circuit and if installed at the correct angle on the knurled end the wipers will stop and "park" in the correct position. I may be able to tell you what wires went where on the motor to the switch. This will only help you if you have the exact same motor and switch that I do. I know it's a lot of work to pull the wiper switch since it's at the top and remove the motor if you have it installed. I will see if I can identify what I did without removing the motor or switch. The seats are out of our 7 right now so I might be able to get you some pictures of what I ended up with, but it might not be the same as yours. Oh and I also ran a dedicated ground wire from the motor case instead of counting on a good ground connection through the windshield frame and hinges that hold it on.

I still think the only way to figure yours out is to bench test. It's really not that hard, but it is a lot of work. Buy some extra fuses for your bench test hot lead. I printed the pages from the FSM pdf so I would have something to mark up. Just keep trying until you get it right. Small number of wires. You will figure it out eventually through process of elimination. I think you can do this. :chug:
