I don't know about fine thread, but most normal bolts I go to Tractor Supply and you can buy them by the pound.

My local ACE was closer and unfortunately they were selling by the bolt

I usually have harder time finding 7/16 bolts so i was really happy to see grade 8 fine thread

TS is a long way from my neighborhood. Like maybe an hour. I also like supporting my local Ex Ace hardware store also.

I can get behind finding a good bolt. Had to go to Grainger to get a specific nut one time. Gotta make a trip to Tractor Supply to get 5/8 in. to 3/8 in. steel shoulder bushing to make my tension and idler pulleys fit No more OEM pulleys at the local parts house. So I matched the belt grove and pulley size just need to make it fit the smaller bolt and stud.

I got a local ACE small store. Bit more expensive than the HD and Lowes 20 min up the road. TSC is between them. Same bolt you buy price per each is the same supplier that sells them by the pound at TSC. Rep was in there filling the bins one day. Built a flex ramp and needed something like like 50 sets of nuts bolts and washers. It was going to be over 200 dollars from Lowes, but less than 20 at TSC.

I hear you. Think I’ve only bought twice in my life lb. quantities. Both times for the house for hurricane reinforcements. Every window has 1/2” plywood and last year I made a garage door cover to protect the Jeep.C07865EB-F279-48B7-8843-F1423009F0C4.webpC770065E-779A-4179-8F7F-404E7785DC3D.webpA1169AC4-3913-47A9-80A8-378B60CB378B.webpE3EDFC51-B92E-4706-84C5-F5B97A23B131.webp

man hurricanes are scary, if the wind and debris doesnt get you the water will

years ago when i lived in Memphis we had a huge snow storm and it brought down lots of centry old trees, i saw all of the kitchen of one house after a huge tree split the house in half, left a good impression on me

Around here the oaks get huge, after about 40 - 60 some years the termites get them and a lot of times you don’t know and they can snap like a match stick in a heavy wind.

Hmm, starting to not wanna put the original torx bolts back on my roll bar. I put em in 3 years ago and locked solid today

I changed them out a couple years ago with bolts and anti seize. Figured they would be easier the next time

I pretty much replace all my torx heads with hex heads as I take them off. One of lifes biggest frustrations is a stripped torx bolt

I liked the look origanality but am leaning towards anti seize and hex as well, stripped torx really does suck

Yea, not a fan of the torx bolts. Once seized up, a real PIA.

I’m at the same point Gert, I’m going to chance it with a lot of stainless torx. If you get a second, can you snap a pic of the roll bar torx? Are they a taller style head? I didn’t have them in mine when I got it and try to find an accurate reproduction. Most I find are a much thinner head I think.
