Nice to see others swapping in AMC V8's....no replacement for displacement ;)

Interesting about the frame mounts, I remember when I got mine, the one in question looked suspiciously similar in dimension to the I6 mount.

I also remember having to swap the fuel line over to the drivers side. Now that I run propane however, that's a non-issue.

My 401 came out of a J-truck and had the stock dog-leg exhaust manifolds thankfully, so I was able to avoid having to track something down.

Because my CJ originally had a I4, it did not have a heat shield. Not sure it ever needed one...when I put a AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l in there, I never had an issue with anything catching fire. The 401 puts out a ton of heat though :D
