- 1961 cj-5 with a V-6 that evidently doesn't belong. I'm trying to identify the engine.
Also a 1961 Corvair Monza.
Hey Guys, I have a 61 CJ5 but the V6 in it doesn't belong. I have tried Google and one of the links I found in this forum but I can't figure it out. Here's the numbers I have and where I got them from:
front of block below the drivers side head = B22441
Top of back of block = 1349430
back of intake (2bbl looks stock) = 8-1861678-8 (or 3?)
I didn't find any on the sides of the block. It has what looks to me like a GM distributor because it has the "window" that you can adjust the points through while it's running (as if). I'm not an expert at this serial number/model number/vin number stuff but I did figure out that it should have a L4-134 engine in it. If it helps the VIN number is 5754B 130365 which tells me it's a universal, open body, left drive, number 0365. I guess all that rust is an aftermarket install because the VIN doesn't mention it as far as I can tell. What ever info I can get would be greatly appreciated.
