Chrome Oil Filler Tube??

Hi guys. I've seen these for Chevy engines but can't find on for my AMC V8. Anyone know where to find one? I heard you could use a 1.5" chrome sink drain pipe from Lowe's...but that sounds sketchy to me. Any help or advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Yes, a 1.5" drain pipe works well or you could get replacement tube and cap (stainless) from Bulltear (picey) and give the tube a nice polish. I am unaware of any aftermarket mfrs now.

Shazam, you may want to take a look at a "Spectre 5727" It is supposed to fit a jeep.

Thanks guys! How long should the 1.5" drain be if I get it at Lowe's to try first? Does it just slide in as-is...no o-rings or anything?

Well, I found a 1.5" x 12" 20GA chrome tailpiece at Lowe's but neither my original nor Edelbrock breather fits in it well...so I didn't even try to dislodge the original from the manifold.

I figured it out!!!

OK...I'm not a mechanic and this was purely for looks so I didn't want to risk a leak for looks. So....I used a chrome exhaust tip to slide over the stock fill tube. My Edelbrock breather still fits snugly.

I hope this helps some other CJ'ers out there...an easy fix for $4.00! I wish I knew how to get pics uploaded here.
