Was that T-5 , OEM to this '5'?
What R&P ratio?
LG

came with a swapped in T-5 /300

The T-5 only came from the factory in a CJ5 in 82-83.

I recall 4,10s NT wagon.

My point, the short wheel base, 15" trans, and 4.5" lift, especially the lift, the diff was pointed to the sky without any mods to supply lube to the pinion bearing. It seized destroying the R&P. The kicker, a so called professional shop did the install.....I have the receipt.

It now has a D60 with 5.13 R&P.

Pensacola FL. In a parking lot right off East Garden st.

The blue one looks 72-75 and someone added a under seat fuel tank. I like the V8 emblem.

The other CJ has a glass tub, slightly surprised being from CO. Looks 79 or newer.

You have a good eye my friend.

My current 79 CJ5 that I'm building into a 6 came with a swapped in T-5 /300 AND a 4" lift! It also had a 13" rear driveshaft.

Guess how I got it so cheap?

Had a oil starved blown rear diff :D
I have seen you with an oil starved diff before… once upon a time, haha

Saw a few CJs in my clubs annual show and shine event.

Is this gathering on the same weekend or does it vary? It's sorta in my daughter's neighborhood and would be a good excuse to go visit LOL. Nice batch of CJ's - now I know why I see so few down here..... they're all in NOVA.

On a side note - the flattie looks very nice, but I don't know if I like the white spokes on it.......

It is about the same weekend every year. Next year it is scheduled for 5/19/18. Check out www.nvjajeepshow.com. That is the site for the annual show. It is at the Fauquier County Fairgrounds. So please do come next year. Mine is at the far end of the pics by the barn doors. The nice silver one is a Scrambler. He took first place this year for the Classics class.

We had ten registered for the classics group. Big turn out for that class. Highest I have seen. As for the JKUs, I was a judge. Man were there a ton. Over 50 if I remember correctly. And too many "angry eyes" for me. Heck, one is too many.

Hmmmm - Registration open to non club members? If I can this stoopid thing finished by next years show I'll thro it in.

Yep. And yes. Get it done. The '51 was not running until yesterday morning. They trailered it to the parking lot, then drove it to the barn! Just in the nick of time too.
