Comparing front to rear tire tread. and the large puddle under the steering box I' say it doesn't track down the road well. Besides the hole in the passenger side rear wheel well it's a nice looking CJ, looks to be 82-86.

Funny story about on of those. Back in '85 my dad bought on of the first 4Runners to hit CO and right after he got it he and I and my brother took it up above Boulder to Left hand to go fishing. So we took this small trail that goes to the back side of a lake and we come up to a huge puddle or small pond and he stops and says I don't what to get stuck so he backs all the way out ripping off one of the mud flaps which didn't make he real happy. Then we grabbed our stuff and hiked in to the lake and when we got there one just like that one was parked there. All day my Dad took about his new 4x4 that can't even go where a stationwagon can.

Right!? I was selling for Bob Bundy AMC JEEP in Lakewood in 81. When the Eagle hit the market, there wasn't any real competition. Since I owned a 77 CJ7 Golden Eagle I took one for a demo. Ahead of it's time. Then came Mopar.
