I could not get my heater to work, and assumed that since I was getting power to it, the motor was bad. Looking on here, I was able to see that the blazer motor modification is very popular. I got a motor, and tonight I went to work on it. I will have to post some the pictures because it was packed with stuff, even one of the missing defrost plugs from the windshield frame!

I was able to get the motor to work once I got all the leaves, branches, plug, rifle shells, dirt..... all out. I think at this point I am committed to the upgrade since I mainly always have no top on it and would like some warmth. Am I correct, that I should do the up grade? I think so.

One of my other issues is since I had stuff falling out from everywhere, there were four foam wedges that I found in the heater distribution box, where the heater core sits. I cannot find any clean areas that would give me any clues as to where they would go.

Next to one of the .223 shells for scale.

I would like to have this back in tomorrow night and would really appreciate your help.

Thanks,

Those look like part of the gasket. How they would have gotten inside the box, I dunno.
