I've owned my 5 since March 2017, did an oil change about one month ago. I recently noticed a drop of oil pressure to almost zero when making a left turn only on my mechanical oil gauge (aftermarket) under the dash. Pulled the dipstick and the oil level was right on the full line. I used good quality oil filter(K&N), Pennzoil Yellow bottle oil when I did the oil change, filled to the full mark on the stick. I started thinking new oil pump, dropped pickup screen, etc. Just for giggles I pulled the dipstick again and noticed someone had filed a notch across the flat of the dipstick one inch above the full Mark. I decided to add another quart to that filed line and voila, oil pressure issue went away. Next oil change I'll make a note of the quantity of oil Im putting in. I'm thinking the dipstick is NOT original to the truck. Oil doesn't seem to be leaking any more than usual at the main oil seals either.

How many qts did you put in, before adding the extra?

I'm thinking I originally put in 4 to 41/2 quarts. Definitely no more than that. I guess I could drain and refill and adjust for the filter, to be sure.

Should be 5 qts with filter change

If you play much in notches-Run 6qts.
The engine will thank you. :chug:
Never put in less than 5 qts.
What weight oil do you use?
I would just add the qt and change when scheduled to do so.
