What did you do to or with your CJ today?
I think the closest I'm going to get to merging the 20th and 21st century was installing a bluetooth amp and a couple of USB chargers. It is pretty cool to fire up the motor and the music from my phone instantly begins to play...

Yeah. I went to usb plugs a couple of years ago. Then I updated my head unit to a bluetooth one (not even a cd slot). So glad I did. The tunes were important as is the waze navigation app.

Ok - Now you guys are just trying to spend my money again.....

Sent this one from behind a cold barley pop. :chug:

I installed a RAM mount on one of the dash bolts to hold my phone... works well.

Its a tough job, but someone has to do it...

Left mine sitting in the driveway. Started it up this morning (6 degrees here this am), got her warmed up, threw my :dung: in it, went to pull out and zero movement. Let’s see - parking brake off - check. Tranny in first - check. Not pressing brake pedal - check. No wheel chocks, frozen opossums blocking wheels - check. No go. Like stall the engine no go. Lying beside it and rocking back and forth the rear axle tries to follow wheels - brakes must have had water in em and froze. It rained Sat, temps dropped yesterday to 6 - I’m hoping the brakes were wet, otherwise the rear diff has water in it. And I have no idea how that could happen. We’ll see. Kinda strange.

Too cold tonight to send anything......

You'd have better luck with this scenario:

Go outside, check temperature (6º), go back inside.

You ain’t Lyin there!!!

Well, if not for the whole going to work thing, I wouldn’t have even been up to check temps LOL. The other issue is the Jeep is blocking my car in.... so either way I gotta get it moved this afternoon

Can you show me a pic of the Ram mount? I need to replace my crappy/shaky phone mount and was looking for a solution.

Thanks. That helps. Did you use an existing dash mounting hole for mounting or drill a new hole in the dash? I guess it is pretty solid and does not move much?

Existing bolt hole. They are 1/4"-20. Solid as a rock and the x-grip dampens the vibration. I have no vibration when running down the road and it adjusts to a wide variety of phone sizes. They have other x-grip sizes as well. I've got an iPhone 7.

Hope the brakes are just frozen. Good luck

Got home from work, changed clothes, grabbed a heat gun, extension cord, and propane torch (just case the heat gun was too slow). The plan was to warm the rear drums and see if it would break free. Put it in neutral, released the parking break, grabbed the heat gun, and as I leaned in the rear tire, it popped right loose. Was ice in the PS brake drum. Took it for a nice ride to dry the brakes and it’s fine. I’m kinda gettin tired of all the odd freaky :dung: this thing keeps pulling.......

Glad to hear it was simple. Keep it that way.

And I thought I was the only one that had bad luck.

No, not by a long shot. And I seem to always get the weird kind. Keeps it interesting...

I really like that setup. Much better than the surface mount I've got bolted to the dash. As for the X-grips, I agree they are very solid and I like the versatility. I've used mine for several different phones, currently with an iPhone 6, and even use it in my truck with my tuner/monitor when I run it in gauge mode.

Installed the Sniper EFI yesterday and got the temp sensor installed today so that the fans would kick in.

Now to get out and drive it so it can learn and tune itself in.

Dude that’s cool
