As in vendor provided installed one ? Reason I ask is because I got my glass replaced over 25 years ago and actually provided one. Picked up my jeep and it was still laying on the seat. Asked why and was told me they had something better. First rain it leaked like a sieve. Brought it back and still leaked. Finally sealed it myself.

Yes. It came with the windshield.

Bad deal on yours bu so long as it’s fixed.

Washed it again and ran it most of the day (well wife did). Popped on this fire extinguisher tonight.

Flushed the frame in preparation for shooting it with Eastwood here pretty soon

Based on the amount of sand, she must have seen some beach time with one of the POs at some point

Between that and the sticks, rocks and wasp nests, I'll probably pick up several miles to the gallon now

Cleaned the 4.0 block. That was a mess. I ended up covered in oil. Now to paint it blue

Also finished cutting of the snow plow structure from the 3a. It has the ground clearance now. And took it for a little spin in the neighborhood.

Finally got around to installing the headlight relay kit, I bought a year ago. Damn virus lockdown, I can't drive around to check it out tonight. Oh well something to look forward to when the lockdown is over. Everybody be safe!

Got my new top today...... went ahead and bit the bullet

Yup - was gonna just grab a Smittybilt replacement top.... Just refurbed a set of YJ hardware so the replacement skin would work nicely. Was never super fond of the black denim fabric, but figured what the heck. Then ran across the special edition top they put together for their 30th anniversary.... it fits a YJ but looks like the newer black fabric tops. Got here this afternoon so I’m excited to catch a warm day to install it

Loved my sniper while I had it. Best thing I ever did. Are you doing the 2bbl or the 4? I had to do 2 minor things after installing mine. Added a piece to the throttle linkage to eliminate the bad throttle tip in, and I had the notorious high idle so I had to do the trick of covering the iac port, set the idle, then reboot the module. But super easy and well worth the modifications

Have a pic of what you did to the throttle linkage?

I took some close ups. But cannot find them at the moment. I will post when I do. But basically, there is a hole where you bolt the throttle cable to the rotating arm on the unit. That angle is not good enough to overcome the suction of the butterfly valves in the unit. So I took a scrap piece of flat metal and cut it and drilled to holes 1/2 inch apart. Bolted it using the lower hole to the rotating arm on the sniper. Then attached the accelerator cable to the upper hole. So it raised the mounting point 1/2 inch. Just enough leverage to make the tip in go away. Holley sells an extension for about $11. They also sell a progressive linkage so that only one set of valves open at first. This is the best option. For fuel efficiency. But the way I did it was free.

Go to the Sniper facebook page and you will see many posts about throttle tip in.

I'm going to start working on my Jeep again in earnest now that my money issues are about to disappear...
