What did you do to or with your CJ today?
I did something similar but i lose too much throttle. I’m going to cut and shorten the cable mount. No choice.

Loved my sniper while I had it. Best thing I ever did. Are you doing the 2bbl or the 4? I had to do 2 minor things after installing mine. Added a piece to the throttle linkage to eliminate the bad throttle tip in, and I had the notorious high idle so I had to do the trick of covering the iac port, set the idle, then reboot the module. But super easy and well worth the modifications

By the way, what fuel pump are you going with? Internal or external? I went with the external that came with the master kit. I mounted it on the crossmember right in front of the tank, despite all of the warnings. Worked just fine. And was well protected.

What I loved about the sniper vs my carb was how I would be off camber and it would not stall out. And I could start it up off camber without having to level the Jeep out first.

Took the wife and pup for a little ride to one of our parks. We got out to take a little walk and the wife noticed my Jeep with the flag in the foreground.

I got this boss block off plate for the Sniper install...

Have to say, based on the attention to detail...whoever did the engraving sure knows CJs...

Even got the oil slick underneath LOL!

Well not today, Monday & Tuesday removed the hood grill and fenders first. Then remove all the pieces off those parts and striped the engine of all accessories. Only a couple of bolts holding the engine in now. Engine Transmission & Transfer Case all coming out next week. Then it will be time to clean the grease and oil out of the engine compartment
 
Got the the new soft top installed yesterday.... fits nicely, and (I think) it looks great.
