What did you do to or with your CJ today?
Went through and finished welded the suspension mounts and additional body plates. They were originally tacked with a small 110V welder but the Millermatic 250 burned them in nicely...:)

Well I knew that the windshield frame was leaking pretty badly and I did see a bit of cancer under the black RTV gasket material the PO used in an attempt to waterproof. What I found was stage 4 decay upon removal, wow!

Looks as if a new windshield frame, new glass and maybe install "WIPEBOY" while I am at it. Any reviews on Wipeboy product Ladies and Gentlemen?
Why are you going to replace the glass and w/s gasket? If they are in good shape just change them over into the new frame.

Replacing the glass due to many pits and some cracks, I'm quite certain it is original. Replacing the windshield gasket around the glass because it is too cheap odf a part not to do it. Replacing the frame gasket for the same reason.

I really would like to not have the constant rain we have up here in the Pacific Northwest to run down my dash and behind it corroding all the new wire and gauges I've installed.

Installed new mechanical temp and oil pressure gauges, re-gapped my plugs and added a new wire loom for my plug wires.

Had some scary sounds coming from under the front. I first thought that I may have not tightened everything after installing shims under the front axel. After a close look, this is what I found. Lucky for me, The Pep Boys had one in stock.

So, what did I do today with my CJ?

Replaced the driver side motor mount

I finally felt good enough to do some stuff to the CJ. I was able mount my liquid check valve and roll over valve. I even ran the line from lcv to the rov. I know it isn't much but it is forward progress

Did anyone kiss their CJ today? Pics or it didnt happen!

LOL Susie you crack me up...I'll take one of Lizzy kissing the CJ when I get back this weekend! Just for you! :chug:

I put the top on and I already despise it, that's about three levels beyond Hate with passion!! It was a major PITA to put on, it complicates getting in and out and it is claustrophobic once I do manage to climb in. Good thing it's bikini weather I can take it right back off.:D

That's funny ... I just installed my top for the first time, today. I was happy to find all the pieces were included with it since I bought it from an auction. Actually, there is one piece missing ... one of the curved pieces that position vertical through the side window.

I found out today that the inside measurements of 2x3x3/16 tube will not accommodate leaf spring eyes. :censored: (ya, they're welded on already)
