Looks like it has done some submarining.

Oh, man...... think a shot of WD-40 will fix it?

I’ve got it soaked with WD40 but that ain’t gonna do anything, I’m going to try soaking it in some evapo rust for awhile and see what it looks like

I was able to pull the t case and Transmission out of the frame last night, tcase was full of new oil, hopefully will have them separated tonight

That is not one I'm familiar with. Even my common T-176 / 7 there were a couple of only chinee parts available. Are you going to be able to find what you need ?

I think you already have that loaded in. Just saying

Sweet, I have neutral 2nd and 3rd gears back in the Transmission

Hard to imagine this Transfer Case was attached to that Transmission

Bonus… looks like the front and rear axle were sand blasted, rebuilt, and rattle canned black

Definitely gonna be a sweet project

I’m on the hunt for a flathead motor and bell housing if you guys know of one let me know, I decided since it’s a January 42 Jeep it’s going back factory stock

Looks like there is still some metal left on that body. What axles and Transfer Case ?

It has the correct front Dana 25 with no lockouts and correct full float Dana 27 rear as well as a T84 Transmission which is correct type but the one I have is an “F” script Ford GPW Transmission , I also have the correct 3/4” intermediate shaft Dana 18 Transfer Case , the frame looks to be a 46 and up willys CJ frame that was modified for 60s CJ manual steering, that’s gonna get cut off

99% of the metal is intact, but nothing is straight so I will be spending all my time with a hammer and dolly

Your sheet metal looks like mine when I got it. I still believe mine was used to haul cattle...... in it and on it.

Gonna scrounge up a pedestal and .30 cal for it?
