Sounds good !

Glad to hear you confirmed the switched circuit to get her running properly. Yea, now just a permanent connection should do it. What fun. I've done TBI with a kit from AFI and one from Holley on two different jeeps. I didn't like either one. The AFI kit didn't control spark, just fuel, and not very well in terms of erratic idle speed. The Holley kit would constantly throw O2 errors, even after installing a heated O2 sensor rather than the plain one in the kit. I now have the Edelbrock setup and love it. Nothing like true multi-port injection rather than TBI and straight bluetooth link to my phone for monitoring/tuning, and easy start no matter how cold. Added in a remote start, now push a button from inside the house and let her warm up before hopping in to drive.

I’ve been drooling over those edelweiss kits for years, now that I’m single I might have to work a lot of overtime to get one

Man we need to help each other out….. all these years I had no idea CJ and YJ body mount bolt diameters are different…….. so I now have a pile of 3/8 bolts for my bolt bucket, fished enough 1/2 inch bolts out of my bolt bucket to take it around the block tho, and one of the bolts I found was a 340 small block dodge main cap bolt, I know because it’s threaded on the top for a 1/4 bolt to bolt the windshield tray to the main caps
I think it was daystar poly mount kit and legit hockey pucks off Amazon as spacers, and it will be grade 5 bolts from tractor supply

So I got enough bubble gum and bailing wire on it tonight and took her for a rip around the block a few times….. what a blast instant throttle response it actually moved me back in my seat in first, I scratched some tire by accident coming out of the driveway, I forgot how much torque the 360 has and. Zero slope in driveline, as soon as you hit the gas it’s going and going quick( speed relative to it being a Jeep)

Been thinking of changing out mine. Heard good things about Daystar.

They are poly and hard as bricks but they don’t look like cheap Chinese :dung: so I’m pleased with my purchase so far

Rubber / Poly :wtf: at that thickness I wouldn't think there would be much ride difference.

That 360 with fuel injection should spin all 4 tires in 4H. I have a Chevy 350 with my Edelbrock ProFlow 4 kit and it spins all four 36" MTs with ease. In 2WD, it will scratch the rear tires again shifting into 2nd. (I have a 700R4 auto with a shift kit).

Keep the updates coming. Good stuff.

I am quite pleased with the Prothane poly bushings. Guessing most poly sets are similar. Got the kit with body mounts, sway bar mounts, spring bushings, and bump stops. Just be sure when doing the body mounts you get new sleeves, bolts and washers. And what a PIA project with rusted and broken off bolts, etc. Had to cut the tub in 4 places because the captive nuts were no longer captive and/or the rusty bolts broke off. But all new hardware and some welded patches and no need to do that again for another 30 years:)

TSB8C where did you find the sleeves ?

The poly bushings I got have sleeves molded in them

To be honest it’s taken me so long and so much money to build my Jeep that I don’t try to break the tires loose, the one time I did punch the gas a bit the track bar mount ripped off the rear axle and that mount is still on my list to redesign and make beefier

I agree, not really a vehicle that is made for that much power, do that with something made for that. Going off road is punishment and stress enough.

TSB8C where did you find the sleeves?

Crown part # J5456734 for individual sleeves. Crown also makes a full kit if you want rubber bushings instead of poly and that kit includes the sleeves; part # 5462446K. I wanted the red poly and couldn't find a kit with sleeves included. So I bought 10 of the Crown individual ones. I have also seen people use 3/4" EMT (thin wall) pipe with a washer top and bottom that seemed to work well. The slight issue with the Crown individual ones is that they are all the same length. On a CJ, you'll need to cut down all but two of them. The two longest ones (and the length the new ones come in) are 1 19/23" long. These go under the two toe-boards up front just behind the firewall. The others need to be cut down to 1 1/4" for the sides and rear. Not a big deal, just an extra step. Then use new stainless hardware.

I don't do a lot of extreme offroad with mine, in terms of rock crawling or mudding. Mine is a daily driver and hunting/camping in the woods. So I may cross a small creek/ditch, hit a muddy patch, climb a slight incline getting to the deer camp or edge of a field to hunt quail. I do pull a small Dinoot trailer with the tent, cooler, etc. Other than that, it's fighting Houston traffic. Good acceleration helps with entering the freeway and adds to that "butt in the seat" fun factor. My SBC, 700R4, Dana 300 and AMC20 with 4.54 gears, 1-piece axles and welded tubes handles what I do with no complaints - yet. Now if I was rock crawling and never needed speed, but high torque, less HP and more gearing would make sense. You build the tool for the job and they're all different and unique.

I think I’m going to enjoy these last moments of Texas sun today
